> Connect USB devices automatically

is enabled for this VM but when I try to connect to my USB drive, Parallels reports:

> USB device you are trying to connect to the virtual machine
> is being used by another application. Close that application
> or unplug the device and plug it in again. Then try to
> connect the device again.
>
> [OK]

system.log reveals:

May 5 20:33:00 grahamperrin kernel[0]: ParallelsControlUSBUserClient(0x4b99b80)::setProperties() Client has not privileges!
May  5 20:33:00 grahamperrin kernel[0]: ParallelsControlUSB(0x3eb0900)::changeList(0xfd100000,1) Already connected as 19!
May  5 20:33:00 grahamperrin kernel[0]: ParallelsControlUSBUserClient(0x4b99b80)::setProperties(0xfd100000,1) Properties not seting!

Please, what might be causing this?

I can think of no other application that might be using the device.
