I have messaged a bunch of people about their Micro Mosquito, but nobody is yet to reply. Would you please answer a few questions of mine? I was considering to buy it. I would deeply appreciate it.
-What is its remote control range?
I don't know exactly, but its going to be much more limited by your sight and ability to control and see what way its going at a distance.
-What is the longest period of time that in can fly without landing, if you stay within the range?
probably about 10 minutes
-How high can you go, when u just press and hold the up button on the r/c? (because on some, they just die out after like 10 seconds)
the ceiling is the limit and you can get there quick.
-How long does it take to fully charge? Do you hook it up to the remote control, to charge?
i let it rest atleast 15mins before charging, and the charge takes about 30
-On a scale of 1-10, how easy are the manuevering controls (steering, staying up & down, hovering)?
id give it a 6.5 on easyness to control, and im not saying if 1 or 10 is easiest :P its all very dependent on how cordinated you are, if you can play video games or drive or bike well and that kind of thing then you will probably get the hang of it much quicker, i guess the point is that once u do get the hang of it you feel pretty confident about controlling it, its not perfect control, you will mess up, but u can do alot of it, for one just pick a flight path ' i will fly from here to there and go around that ' and do it and its endless fun
-Can it do any tricks?
its not really heavy or powerfull enough do to more than simple flying around, it could never do rolls or flips or anything
Thank you very very much for your time.
ive tried all the air hogs helicopters and they are CRAP,
your basicly spending all your time trying to make them not crash
this is the only helicopter i would reccomend. it costs 70$ from radio shack. its worth it, its great fun. the rotors will break if u hit stuff, get the 10$ extra rotors kit.
tips: full throttle on take off, get it to mid room hieght and hover, set the trim (you will prolly have to adjust trim about 2-3 times per charge)
never just drop the throttle to zero, you wont be able to bring it back up
if your crashing/ about to crash, cut the throttle to zero to minmize damnage, having the blades spinning while ur crashing into something is what will break them
turn of the A/C or heat, and breeze will pwn you
once your up in the air, you can control left to right and forward speed very well by small small movements on the sticks, it will take a while , but u can get good hang of it.
most toys are a waste of money and 5 minute thrill at most, this delivers on hours of fun if flying a little thing around inside is your idea of fun (works for me :D )
